Orhan Pamuk
Pamuk, born in 1952 in Istanbul, studied Architecture and Journalism. His works mediate between the modern Europen novel and the traditional Orient.
His novels and narrations have been translated into 35 languages and have been published in more than 100 countries. He received various awards and is most renowned for novels such as The New Life (1997) and Istanbul: Memories and the City (2005).
